I’m very confused… a little background to attempt to bring you up to speed so hopefully someone can help me.
For some reason Plex DVR is canceling my scheduled recordings and I have no clue why.
This fiasco started a few days ago when I copied a modified ComSkip.ini file into the DVR folder via SSH/PuTTY. I have edited no other settings. I’ve been attempting to diagnose this issue on my own with limited success. I do not know if this is related to the ComSkip and cannot think of why it would be since all I did was copy a simple .ini file.

Things I’ve noticed;
Netgear Plex Server Login
- If I schedule a recording in the near future(0-4hrs?) it records just fine (with or w/o comskip)
- New comskip script works much better than the Plex defaults. Again why I think its not related to Comskip if the new script works?
- It appears to cancel my recordings based on the section of logs I found.
- Once its canceled my recording it does not show the recording as an option in the search feature, not sure if this thinks thats because its already in place or what? Example: Tonight it was supposed to record The Rookie and a couple others, when I got home from work ALL of the scheduled recordings were no longer in the list. I had to cancel The Rookie series as a whole, manually search for and set it to record tonights episode. If I setup the series again and said “record all new” it did not think there was an episode available tonight and set first scheduled recording to next tuesday.

Netgear Plex Server Setup
Hi, I’m brand new to Plex and am having issues getting started.
To explain, I have a new Roku upstairs plugged into my TV which works fine. The Roku has Plex in the menu but it can’t find any devices (“A server could not be found. Download and install Plex Media Server, and it will appear here.”).
I have a Netgear ReadyNAS 212 downstairs with all my media on it - which a previous WDTV had no problem finding wirelessly on the network and streaming to my WDTV plugged into the TV. I want to replace the WDTV with my new Roku and stream movies from my NAS to my Roku with Plex but don’t know where to install Plex.
I’ve downloaded Plex onto my Mac laptop but it doesn’t launch. Should it be installed on the NAS to find the media library? I don’t know how to install anything on the NAS.
Thanks, any help would be gratefully received but I’m not that familiar with installation on the NAS etc.
